Issues that are fixed in this update


  • When authoring or editing a file rule that uses a comparison operation for a file property, the update is not saved as expected.
  • When authoring or editing a Registry value exists rule by using the Default value checkbox, the update is not saved as expected.
  • Code signing checks for files during all operations in Updates Publisher sometimes fail to complete, causing files to be treated as unsigned when they have a valid signature.

System Center Configuration Manager Hybrid Diagnostics

Before you install and use System Center Configuration Manager Hybrid Diagnostics:

1. Review the license terms by downloading word file in this download package.

2. Print and retain a copy of the license terms for your records.

By downloading and using the tool you agree to such license terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.

This release of the tool will check of the following issues related to device enrollment scenario:

• Checks that the SMS Executive service is running
• Checks for the Microsoft Intune connector certificate
• Checks for potential conflicts between Intune connector certificates
• Checks for DNS CName entry for the specified UPN
• Checks for device type enablement in Configuration Manager
• Checks for known errors in Status Messages
• Checks for UPN synchronization in AAD
• Checks that the specified user is a member of the cloud user collection
• Checks that the AAD ID and cloud user ID match

Prerequisites:

The following are Prerequisites for Hybrid Diagnostics:
• System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 or Later
• System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager or Later
• System Center Configuration Manager (1511) or later
• Windows PowerShell 3.0 or Later
• Azure Active Directory PowerShell module
• .NET Framework 4.5 or Later
• System Center Configuration Manager service connection point site system role. The Hybrid Diagnostics is intended install and run on the computer that hosts the service connection point or Microsoft Intune connector role in the Configuration Manager hierarchy.
• To use this tool, your account must be a member of the SMS Admin group – This is used to get access to the SMS Provider and for basic hierarchy discovery.
• (Recommended) Microsoft Online Service Azure Active Directory (AAD) Tenant Admin Credentials – This is the account is used to check if the specified user account is synchronized with AAD.

Great news, the Update 1601 now available in System Center Configuration Manager Technical Preview !!!

Some of the new features that are available in this update include:

  • Conditional Access for PCs managed by ConfigMgr– Use conditional access capabilities in Configuration Manager to help secure access to Office 365 (Exchange Online and SharePoint online) on PCs that are managed by ConfigMgr. Conditions which can be used to control access are – Azure AD Workplace Join, BitLocker, Antimalware, Firewall, and Software Updates.
  • Online status of devices – Identify at a glance whether a client is online or offline in near real-time in the Configuration Manager console. With updated icons and columns in the console device listings, you can assess the status of clients in your environment to quickly identify problem areas that require attention.
  • New antimalware policy settings – Configure new antimalware settings including protection against potentially unwanted applications, user control of automatic sample submission, and scanning of network drives during a full scan.

This release also includes new features for customers using System Center Configuration Manager integrated with Microsoft Intune to manage mobile devices. Some of the features that you can expect to see are:

  • The ability to set iOS managed app configuration.
  • The ability to include Windows 10 health attestation data as part of overall device compliance check. You can learn more about Windows 10 health attestation, in this TechNet article.
  • Manage and deploy apps purchased through the Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) for Business portal.
